Antique Victorian English Silver-Plated Epergne Centerpiece – 19th Century
Impressive antique Victorian-era English silver-plated epergne centerpiece, dating to the mid-to-late 19th century. This elaborate table centerpiece features ornate Rococo-style scrollwork, branching arms, and decorative glass dishes.
Epergnes were traditionally placed at the center of formal Victorian dining tables and used to elegantly present fruit, sweets, nuts, and other small foods. Today, they make spectacular decorative centerpieces and highly distinctive additions to an antique silver or Victorian collection.
