Happy October!
Toy auctions are up there with ones we look forward to most. Whether you are Boomer, Gen Xer or Millennial, this auction covers just about every decade, from 1950s tin windups to 90s video games and will most certainly conjure up nostalgia and fun childhood memories …because that’s what toys do.
The toys in this particular auction are from a gorgeous home along the lake from a true lifetime collector of cool stuff that many of us grew up with and plenty we wish we had. There will be additional offerings added throughout the auction; keep checking back often.
Keep your eyes out for additional themed auctions from this lifetime collection including:
-The Beatles Auction
-Vintage Poster Auction
-Comic Auction
-Sports Memorabilia Auction
-Vinyl Auction
-Pop Culture Auction
-And More!
The details:
• Bidding opens: Friday, October 9 at 12:00pm
• Lots begin closing: Friday, October 16th at 6:00pm
• Pickup: Monday, October 19th 10am-1pm or 5pm-7pm in Erie, PA(exact address will be emailed to all winning bidders shortly after the auction ends on Friday, October 16th)
• Shipping: Shipping is available for this particular auction
-Bidding Process
The online auction is hosted at estatesales.net where you can get in on the bidding action. If you hadn't already done so, you'll need to sign-up for a simple account on estatesales.net to actively bid.
The online auction bidding on estatesales.net is a "hard close" process, similar to Ebay, as opposed to a "soft close" process used by other online auction platforms, which extends the time if there is active bidding towards the end. There is no time extension using this particular platform.
The bidding ends when the allotted time for each item expires, which is displayed under each item.
Also, entering a maximum "max" bid doesn't necessarily mean you will pay your maximum bid. The system will automatically keep bidding on your behalf against other bidders up to your placed "max" bid for convenience purposes.
-Bidding Example
You are bidding on a lamp and place a max bid of $58.00 towards the end of the auction. The auction ends on the item and you win the item for $39.00. This means the next highest bidder had a high bid of $38.00, however you were willing to go up to $58.00. Your maximum bid doesn’t automatically jump to that amount when you place the bid. The bid only is increased if there are other bidders actively bidding on the item. Your maximum bids are hidden from other bidders, essentially creating a level playing field.
-Item Descriptions
General descriptions of items are available under each item (measurements, basic description, model number if available, etc.).
If you have additional questions about any of the items in the auction, please text Chris at 814-504-9532. Texting is preferred. Also, please take advantage of the preview times, as this is your chance to physically inspect the items.
Also….
Exciting News! Over and over, we'd finish clearing out a home and the owner would ask, "Now what do we do with the house?" Now I can help with that part too. I recently obtained my real estate license after months of coursework. After a lot of late nights with the books and a couple of exams, it's official.
Whether you're settling an estate, downsizing, or just ready for your next move, I can handle the contents and the home, all with one call. Same Hiddenworth guy you've known, just with one more tool in the box.
Good luck, and happy bidding!
