This original oil painting, signed 'HEMERY' in the lower right corner, features a romantic, stylized depiction of a couple embracing under a vibrant red umbrella. The composition utilizes a high-contrast palette of black, white, and grey, emphasizing the silhouettes of the figures against a simplified urban skyline. The artist employs a heavy impasto technique, particularly visible in the textured red umbrella and the figures' clothing, creating a three-dimensional effect on the canvas. The work is housed in a bold, red-painted wooden frame that complements the central color accent of the umbrella.
