Elegant "Donghia" Murano Purple/Amber Flared Art Glass Vase. 19"H w/ 9" Top Diameter & 6" at Base.
Sold by Connecticut Art And Estate Sales
Stunning vintage Donghia Murano glass vase with a flared rim and a solid, weighted base. This piece is a deep smoky amber color that transitions to a lighter, translucent tone at the bottom. The material is thick, high-quality glass with a smooth, polished finish.
Donghia glass vases are luxury, hand-blown art pieces heavily rooted in Italian craftsmanship, primarily created through historic collaborations with world-renowned Murano makers like Seguso Vetri d'Arte. Founded by legendary interior designer Angelo Donghia, the brand's glassware blends Mid-Century Modern bold forms with classic Venetian techniques.
Because Donghia showrooms exclusively distributed these limited-run collections, genuine pieces are highly collectible. They frequently feature heavy weighted bottoms, they are typically etched with the signature "Donghia" on the base which are both the case with this vase that has the signature etched on the bottom as pictured.
