Ended oil painting, by Albertus E Jones autumnal scene

This oil painting has a paper tag on the back citing artist as "Albertus E Jones" and title as "Twilight", 20"h x 23-3/4"w, in period early 20th century molded dark goldtone frame, 24"h x 28"w. The scene is arranged such that the principal subject of view is the light-colored body of water in the middle foreground against mountains under a partial blue and partial cloud sky in the background, seen through deciduous autumnal trees in the foreground. The fact that trees dominate the foreground compel the viewer to look among them to discover the water in the valley behind them. Paper tag on the back is from "The Art Center", mentioning that the artist is from South Windsor, Connecticut. In the early 20th century, a group of artists formed there who exhibited together locally. Painting is clean and free of damage.
