Ended oil on canvas by Babar, 1984

This oil on canvas measures 31-1/2"h x 20"w, in a contemporary frame, 41-1/2"h x 30-3/4"w, marked on the back as done by Calaman Jules Babar [?] 1984, part of a series titled "Itapna" [?], this work titled "Passau e duas faivas de dunas". It depicts a prominent red bird in middle right against green hills under a tan sky, a recumbent brown animal above left against purple under a round purple moon [?], and over a green landscape with blue moon [?] against white sky. Thus the three horizontal scenes achieve an integrated balance of the entirety. Some abrasions on frame.
