You may never have seen so many high-relief and colorful flowers mounted on the body and the exceedingly tall cylindrical lid of this modern Chinese reproduction of an 18th century German Meissen porcelain piece. The piercecutting in the lid indicates that this urn was intended as a censer to emit the smell of dried spices and herbs. The flowers on the body of the urn are exceedingly large and colorful. The enormously high lid exhibits numerous smaller flowers. There are only a few chips in the flowers which are not easily detected. There are two cartouches on the main body of the urn, one featuring flowers, the other featuring a male/female couple in 18th century high class European garb. Overall approximately 24"h x 16"d.
