Up for bid is a re-release of the original Steiff camel made with wooden wheels which came out in 1908. Another version came out in 1909 and again in 1930. In the 1950s a re-release of this wonderful camel was produced with the metal wheels with rubber tires. This particular guy was made circa 1950 or later. He is a delightful toy and a lovely condition. The owner purchased the toy from the famed FAO Schwartz toy store in New York City.
