Ended Machete in tooled and tasseled leather sheath

The steel blade is marked "Corneta Producto Centroamerica No. 35", so the machete is possibly made in Mexico or south of there. It has a black paneled handle, the machete overall 29" long and 2-3/8" wide at the widest blade area. It is accompanied by an elaborate leather sheath, 32" long, displaying hand-tooled flowers and leaves on the primary side, also a silvertone disk near the top over 4 twisted leather cordage tassels, plus tasseling at the lower point. The leather is fairly thick and reasonably supple, showing very few scratches. Note that we have another machete, this one Mexican, in a less elaborate sheath without tasseling for sale.
