Mid century (c.1969) etched ceramic owl
Highly unique ceramic owl from northern Mexico. This attractive piece is typical of northern Mexico, in the Baja California border with the United States. After the piece was fired in the kiln, it was polished with a gourd-like object to create the smooth, burnished surface. Designs where then hand etched on the surface by the artist.
