The Jim Baker Interior Design Estate Collection

Jim Baker established his interior design firm in 1954, beginning in Tipton, Indiana, and later operating in Carmel’s Design District, with satellite locations throughout the country. A respected member of the American Society of Interior Designers, Baker served as president of the ASID Indiana Chapter from 1970–71. His projects included the Indiana Governor’s Residence, numerous Chicago high-rises, and distinguished homes along Meridian Street and throughout Carmel. He also enjoyed spending time at Lake Maxinkuckee in Culver. This auction features personal belongings from his estate, along with furnishings, artwork, and inventory from his former design studio.
