This French Acadian cotton plantation was built in the 1870's and was won in a card game during the 1880's by Theogene Bertrand and has been called these last 130 plus years the "Betrand Plantation". This estate has been minimally updated and features all of the original outbuildings including the dry good store, the two barns, the chicken coop, potato shed, newer chicken coop, the dairy barn and the black smith shop that sat on this beautiful property back when it was built in the 1870's.
