Genealogy is a funny thing. We use the method to discover ancestors in our families with industrious natures, some with leanings to governing (and local politics!), others with adventurous spirits and then there are always those few black sheep. But it is rare that an American family can trace their roots to back to 1630 when the ancestors first set foot on the shores of Cape Cod and whose names of Sparrow, Hatch, Dill, Mayo, Doane and more are intertwined into the history of Eastham, Massachusetts.
