Antique Wood Carved Buddha Sculpture Figural, relief carved wood, red lacquer and applied gilt; inset eyes, colored glass bejeweled drapery and striped forehead band. Southeast Asian, likely Burmese, probably 18th century, likely based on the temple of Ananda Temple Konagamana Buddha- standing figurine on self-base lotus sole, arms splayed displaying robe. Some gilt wear and loss most prominently on upper half and nearly all of reverse. Vertical shrinkage open-crack through the torso front. Measures about 50.25 inches high and 26 inches wide.

The brass wrapped legs are accompanied by a steel crossbar and steel frame. The middle center is accented with a brass knot and dragonfly figurine. Some sun fade and water spots on the surface.
