An avid collector of Georgian furniture, Murdock acquired the distinguished antiques firm Stair and Company in 1985, adding the historic dealership to his business interests. Stair and Company traces its origins to 1911, when Arthur Stair and Valentine Andrew established Stair and Andrew in London.
