· In 1922, The Adro Hotel in LaFollette, Tennessee opened to great fanfare. It advertised clean rooms, elevator, fine dining, as well as accommodations for travelers and business salesmen needing showrooms to display their wares to retail area county merchants. They also had a “Speakeasy” and pool room in the basement that offered a different type of entertainment for both guests and locals.
