Welcome to our Southern Eccentrics auction of unusual treasures tucked away in an Austin home. Thank you for shopping with us! We appreciate your patronage and support of our small family-owned business.
The items in this collection were owned by Mr. Carriere, owner and curator of a little antique shop on Magazine Street in New Orleans from the late 1920s to the 1960s. After his passing in 1968, some of this gorgeous inventory was bequeathed to his sister and through her to her daughter who lives in Austin. In storage for decades, we have just unpacked some highly collectible Asian treasures, some Napoleonic items, and some terrific Delft pieces. There are gorgeous examples of Famille Rose (also called Rose Medallion or Rose Canton), Meiji period bronze and ceramics, Shiwan Foo dogs (also called Fu or Foo lions), and other 19th century items. There are several blue Delft vases with traditional Dutch themes. Last inventoried and appraised in 1983, the items on offer are in excellent condition.
We offer local pickup by appointment and USPS or FEDEX shipping for a fee within the United States. All transactions will be made through STRIPE via the EstateSales.Net website. We do not offer any holds and all items will be sold through the website.
For information on any of the items offered, please contact Melissa at 512/627-3387.
