Estate Sale for Family Descendants of Those That Forged the Goodnight Loving Trail

We just discovered something really historically cool about the multi-house salel! This is the estate sale of Thomas and Betsy Goodnight. What we did not realize until recently is that Thomas's ancestor Charles Goodnight and his partner Oliver Loving forged the historical Goodnight Loving Trail in 1866 making a 2,000 mile cattle drive from Texas to Wyoming. We also discovered that Larry McMurtry drew heavy inspiration for the book "Lonesome Dove" from the details of this historic cattle drive.
