Lot # 62 German WWI Aviator Aerial Kill Honor Goblet Imperial German World War I Aviator Aerial Kill Presentation Engraved Honor Goblet. This silver goblet was awarded to a pilot named 'Ernest Freiherr von Althaus' after achieving his first aerial kill, and is hand engraved to him in Memorium. He was an ace and a Pour Le Merite Blue Max Winner during WWI. The front shows two flying eagles attacking each other. This piece is hand engraved on the back side with all nine of his confirmed aerial kills. It lists the date of the kill, and the type of airplane that he shot down. Measures 7 13/16" tall by 3 13/16" in diameter. The base reads 'Luftkampfr - Dem - Siegerim'. It is marked around the base with a half-moon; King's crown; 800 (Silver content); eagle. The bottom reads “Chef des Feldflugwesens” with an eagle in the center. The goblet is solid hand hammered silver. The interior of the cup portion is gold plated. Includes A brown leatherette carrying case with a brown velvet interior.

Civil War Union Army 1850 Officers Sword& Scabbard US Civil War Union Army 1850 Foot Officers Sword & Scabbard. Measures 36 ½ inches long overall. The etched steel blade is double engraved with a military and floral motif. It is maker marked 'FBD' along with their Roman helmet & sword logo. It is also marked 'O. Langsdorf'. It measures 1" wide by 29 1/4 inches long. Includes the black leather scabbard with a brass throat, center band and tip. The handle is wood with a wire wrapped and shark skin. The guard and pommel are brass construction. It has a cut out floral pattern.

The unmarked steel blade measures 1 3/16 inch wide by 35 3/4 inches long. Includes the steel scabbard that has a brazed seam down the front of it. Has a twisted wire leather covered wood handle. The brass basket 'D' guard is marked 'CSA Nashville Plow Works' in raised letters.

The front reads 'US'. Has three prongs on the reverse side for securing to the leather belt. Stamped brass construction with a lead filled back. The black leather belt measures 38" long by 1 9/16" tall.
