Ended Bamboo Antique Wedding Box

This antique Chinese wedding box is from the early 20th century. The wedding box was filled with gifts for the bride to be used on her wedding day. This beautiful bamboo box is four pieces and adorned with painting of poppies, scroll patterns and leaves, and highlighted with gilt touches. The handle has a unique hand forged hook so it can be attached to a carrying pole. The same decorative rivets are used to attach the carrying hook is also used to adorn the three bamboo strands that attach the handle to the bottom box. The top of the box is a male figure and appears to be carrying a flowering plant.

The box comes with a letter of Certificate from Hong Kong Arts and Furniture Co. This wonderful box is a nice size (10" wide and 16" high) as a decorative touch to any home.

Shipping will be added to the cost of the item or if you are in Minnesota and would like to pick up the item at the Estate Sale held in Shorewood, Minnesota (July 22nd and 23rd) we will refund you the cost of shipping at the time of pickup.
