This delightful late 19th century bamboo woven footed tray is a must for any collector. The intricate design displays the true craftmanship of the Chinese culture from the crisscross pattern in the weaving on the adorning the outside of the bowl to the geometrical design displayed in the bottom of the bowl. The foot of the piece is painted with eight different flowers on each panel. There is some ware due to age of the piece, but it adds to the character. This piece was purchase at a reputable Hong Kong Antique dealer - Honeychurch International Antiques, LTD in 2002. The piece is 13" across and 5 1/2" high.
