Hinamatsuri means Doll Festival, but the day is also referred to as Girl's Day. Families with young girls celebrate by displaying hina-ningyo.
"HINA-NINGYOU" or "OHINA-SAMA" These displays are decorated on the first girl's day after a baby girl was born to a family. Then, the displays are decorated for a month every year.
