Thickly framed in mahogany, which is prized for its strength and flowing grain, the sleigh bed is finished in a multistep process that involves planing, staining, sanding, glazing and burnishing each piece by hand. Subtle distressing heightens the beauty of the wood, which ranges from warm mahogany to a deeper tone at the edges. Bed can be used with or without a box spring. Features: Rolled support slat with hook-and-rail attachment. Adjustable support slat allows bed to be used with a box spring, or without, as a platform-style bed.
