Apache Tears are a Basalt stone found in AZ. They have a legend and a purported healing power. People carry them for "good luck".

The stone when polished are often sliced or used "as is" for making jewelry. Common uses are series of stones to be used by themselves for making your own necklaces or bracelets. Stones about the same size can be used for earrings. They can be faceted for unique settings for jewelry such as ring settings. When held to the light they show a deep brown "see through" color.

Some people combine them with other stones for unique combination of designs and colors.
