trophy plaque awarded by the United States to the organization of the Organized Militia, State of Rhode Island, for "attaining the greatest proficiency in Rifle Practice".
The trophy was presented in 1931 and has subsequent winners engraved for the years 1931-1933, 1935, and 1938-1940.
Winning units include the 4th Company Coast Artillery Corps, Battery E 243rd CA (HD) RI (Coast Artillery, Harbor Defense, Rhode Island), and various companies of the 118th Engineers.
