Charming mid-century Japanese ceramic Santa & Mrs. Claus figurine, circa 1950s-60s. Pipe-smoking Santa embraces his sweetheart, who clutches a candy cane stocking. Glazed porcelain in vibrant holiday hues; intact red/gold "Made in Japan" foil label, mold #6128. Twin holes underneath suggest original use as taper candleholder. Approx. 6.75"H x 7.5"W. Style echoes Lipper & Mann, Napco, Lefton. Chip to Mrs. Claus's apron, light paint wear, minor soiling. Kitschy MCM Christmas charm.
