You are bidding on a very fine piece of famous art. The artist of this piece is the famous listed artist Maurice Utrillo. Maurice Utrillo was born on December 25, 1883 under the name of Maurice Valadon, at no. 8 rue du Poteau in Montmartre[2], in the 18th arrondissement of Paris: he is one of the few famous painters of Montmartre who was born there. In the 1920s, he became a famous painter and the French government decorated him with the cross of the Legion of Honor in 1929. From 1924 and for about twenty years, Maurice Utrillo spent part of the year at the Château de Saint-Bernard (Ain), which he had become the owner of. This framed piece of art measures 38 by 34 inches on the frame and the actual piece measures 24 by 30 inches. All are in very good condition with no visible damage.
