Ended Rare Vintage American Folk Art Memory Jug w/ 1936 & 1937 National Dairy Badges, Shards & Shells

An extraordinary piece of 20th-century American Folk Art, this hand-crafted mosaic Memory Jug (or Memory Jar) is a captivating time capsule. Created using a heavy stoneware/earthenware base coated in thick putty grout, the vessel is densely embedded with eclectic found objects, including blue & white china transferware shards, sea shells, faux pearls, gilded studs, colorful glass, and vintage porcelain pieces.

What elevates this specific piece above standard memory ware is the inclusion of two original enamel safety awards embedded directly into the facade:

1936 "One Year No Accident Driver" - National Dairy

1937 "Two Year No Accident Driver" - National Dairy

These dated elements provide a definitive historical period for the piece (circa late 1930s to early 1940s) and offer a rare personal connection to a mid-century delivery driver. A prime addition to any American Folk Art, Outsider Art, or vintage advertising collection!
