Doulton Lambeth Art Pottery Stoneware Vase

Description

The vase is designed with a slender ovoid body that tapers to a pedestal foot, topped by a tall, flared trumpet neck. The exterior is divided into multiple asymmetrical partitioned panels by raised, dark brown beaded borders. These panels feature various hand-rendered motifs, including sgraffito-incised flowers in white and pale blue, scrolling foliage in sage green, and solid sections of deep cobalt blue. The neck is finished in a buff-orange glaze with a delicate repeating white floral pattern. The underside of the base contains an impressed circular factory mark for Doulton Lambeth and an impressed number 13. A green and gold paper label from the Harriman Judd Collection is attached to the base.
