Pair of Antique Victorian Renaissance Revival Armchairs

An impressive pair of antique Victorian-era Renaissance Revival armchairs with the dramatic carved woodwork and substantial proportions that make 19th-century furniture so distinctive.

These chairs feature high tufted backs, richly carved walnut-toned frames, elaborate cresting with scroll and medallion details, turned front legs, decorative casters, upholstered backs, and beautifully shaped padded arms. The olive/gold damask-style upholstery complements the dark wood and gives the pair a wonderfully grand, Old World appearance

The chairs measure approximately 31" high at the back upholstery area shown, 26" wide across the front, and 22½" across the rear frame based on the measurements provided. They are generously proportioned and make fantastic statement chairs for a library, study, parlor, historic home or traditional interior.
