AGE: between 100 to 120 years old. A pair of dainty medium sized red Shanxi cabinets adorned with attractive butterflies. each cabinet is constructed with the cat top with no waves. The idiosyncratic hidden compartments are also found inside. The doors and frames are decorated by the popular butterfly motif in guild, which might have been touched up at a later stage. No spandrel or apron. From Shanxi, late 19th century, each measuring 96 x 47 x 139 cm.
