The artist included the following:

"White Pine with Wolf" is symbolic of peace to the members of the Iroquois Nations. There are 5 needles in each cluster representing the first council meeting with the original five nations of the Iroquois Confederacy located under the "Great Tree of Peace". The central figure of a wolf symbolizes my heritage as a member of the Wolf clan. The wolf is believed to have been given the original instructions fromthe creator so that he has great knowledge of his environment and may live in harmony with man and nature. The profiles in the left foreground branches are my parents. My mother, on the right, is a member of the wolf clan. My mother had seven children and these are represented by the 7 pups to the right of her profile. The figure on the left is my father. A beaver image above him symbolizes his clan. I have also included my two children, a boy and a girl, as subtle images at the top left. In the bark of the tree from top to bottom there are an adult wolf, profiles of the boys and a wolk pup. The peaceful stare in the eye of the central wolf suggests there has been a good relationship between man and wolf in the past. My belief is that they will continue to share the same environment today sheltered beneath the "Great Tree of Peace"
