Reserve Not MetThese Heron bookends are made by the famous Dodge Company, known as the "best of the west". Dodge made a line of pot metal with bronze or copper metal finishes, during 1925 and 1955. These Art Deco bookends feature a large bird, Heron or Crane, gliding gracefully. The crane or blue heron is silhouetted against the moon, formed by the back of the bookend with the marsh foliage appearing to float at the bottom of the base.
Each bookend still has the original felt, and one has the original paper label from Dodge Incorporated. You can find them pictured and identified in the antique and vintage cast metal bookend reference guide by Kuritzky, "The Encyclopedia of Bookends". They have no damage and a nice antique patina of a silvery bronze. Please view photos carefully.
