This stunning large Weller Pottery vase is a rare piece signed and painted by Frank Dedonatis. Artist hand painted and signed by Frank Dedonatis and made circa 1927. The glaze is a semi-gloss finish, featuring an ivory colored pottery base and painted in a rare black lion and abstract floral motif. This piece is unlike any other known pieces by Dedonatis made in Zanesville, Ohio back in the late 1920s. The vase has NO fleabites, NO hairlines, NO cracks, and in wonderful condition.
An additional unique aspect of this vase is it's stunning size, measuring approximately 12 inches tall and 9 inches wide. All other surviving examples of Frank Dedonatis' work for Weller are much smaller pieces. A true collector's piece!
