S41 Vintage 1949 Reprint Of 1891 Black & White Photograph Of Bird’s Eye Aerial View Of Saint Louis City ~ Where Gateway Arch Ground And Lacledes Landing Are. The first know aerial photos, then called bird’s-eye views, of the city were made from the dome of the Old Courthouse, like this 1891 scene looking to the Northeast. The The back of the photo lists many of the companies that were in this area. The Gateway Arch and the grounds are great but what a loss to Saint Louis architecture. The photo measures 8” X 10” and has some marks on the front borders. Please look at all images to see the condition for yourself.
