This is a very good Chinese glass snuff bottle, beautifully hand enamelled, which we date to the first half of the 20th century, circa 1930.

It is made of a milky white opaque glass and sits on a low oval foot.

The bottle has been delicately hand painted in bold colourful enamels of black, pink, orange, yellow, blue, green & white. The decoration shows two different designs of two birds among foliage within circular panels, surrounded by a fine border pattern of trailing leaves and flowers to the sides, the bird decoration being different on either side. There is also a border around the upper neck.

There is a four character mark to the base. hand painted in blue.
