This auction is focused on comics Pre-Code, as well as some nifty keys and number 1's. The Comics Code Authority (CCA) was formed in 1954 by the Comics Magazine Association of America as an alternative to government regulation. Because of this code, a lot of comics that didn't follow the code ended their runs and a few comic publishers closed altogether.
