This beautiful piece is an antique porcelain mantel clock, Louis the 15th style. The base is a Dore bronze, With a trumpeting white porcelain elephant. The clock canister Rests in the elephants saddle. A Chinese garbed man, hand painted, sits atop the canister of the clock and is surrounded by ormolu foliage. The trunk of the elephant has been repaired.
